Fresh lamb and mutton cuts for Qurbani and Eid al-Adha

Your Qurbani & Eid al-Adha Guide: Ordering Halal Meat in Bradford

Eid al-Adha is one of the most important times in the year, and for many families in Bradford, Qurbani (Udhiyah) is at the heart of it. Getting it organised early takes the stress out of the busiest week, so here’s a simple guide to how it works and how to arrange yours with Ikhlas Halal Butcher.

What is Qurbani?

Qurbani is the sacrifice offered during Eid al-Adha, following the example of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). It takes place over the days of Eid (10th–13th Dhul Hijjah). The meat is traditionally shared three ways, one part for your household, one for family and friends, and one for those in need.

Shares, how they work

As a general guide, a sheep or goat is one Qurbani share, while a cow is shared between seven. Which you choose often comes down to family size and how much you’d like to give and distribute.

Why order ahead

Eid is the single busiest period of the year for every halal butcher. Booking your Qurbani in advance means:

  • Your share is reserved, no disappointment on the day
  • You choose how it’s cut and portioned in advance
  • A calmer collection or delivery, without the Eid-morning rush

Cut and portioned your way

Because we cut fresh to order, you can have your Qurbani prepared exactly how your family likes it, on the bone for curry and biryani, boneish pieces for slow-cooking, mince for keema and kebabs, or a mix. Just let us know when you book.

How to arrange yours

Everything you need to reserve your Qurbani is on our Qurbani page. If you’d like to talk it through, shares, cuts, timing or distribution, call us on 07479 462297 or get in touch. The earlier you book, the smoother your Eid.

From all of us at Ikhlas Halal Butcher, Eid Mubarak in advance. We’re honoured to be part of your celebrations.
