Halal meat delivered to Idle

Idle is the village on the north-east side, above Thackley and the canal. Idle covers BD10. From the shop you get there down Bolton Road and up through Bolton Woods, or out along Idle Road, about 10 minutes by car. Our driver does the same trip twice a day, Monday to Saturday, so an order placed in the morning is on your doorstep the same afternoon, and an order placed by 5 is with you in the evening.

Nothing is pre-packed. Your order is cut after you place it, to the size you ask for, then vacuum-sealed and packed chilled for the van. Prices online are the counter prices, with no delivery charge and no online premium. See Delivery & Collection for the full details.

What to order for Idle

Worth having in an Idle basket: whole chickens, a lamb leg and mutton mix for the weekend pot. Everything on the online counter is available: chicken, lamb, mutton and beef, plus goat, turkey and the Mumtaz marinades and masalas from the shop shelf. Say how you want it cut in the order notes: curry cut, boneless, minced from the cut you choose, chops thick or thin.

Collect from City Road instead

Both runs cover Idle and Thackley. Choose Click & Collect at checkout, no minimum order, and we text or email when it is waiting. The shop is at 26-28 City Road, Bradford BD8 8ER, open 9am to 7pm Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday.

How delivery to Idle works

• Build your order online and choose Local Delivery on the basket page. It checks your postcode against the seven-mile zone.
• Pick a day and a run: 1pm to 4pm (order by 12) or 6pm to 8pm (order by 5).
• We cut, weigh and pack it after you order, then message you when the driver is on the way.
• Someone needs to be in: fresh meat is not left on a doorstep.

Do you deliver halal meat to Idle?

Yes. Idle is about 2.4 miles from our shop at 26-28 City Road, Bradford, inside the seven-mile area our own driver covers. Delivery is free with a £25 minimum order, Monday to Saturday, in two runs: 1pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm.

When will it arrive?

Order by 12 for the 1pm to 4pm run, or by 5 for the 6pm to 8pm run. It is cut after you order, packed chilled and vacuum-sealed, and we text or email you when the driver sets off.

Can I collect instead?

Yes, collection is free with no minimum. Both runs cover Idle and Thackley. Orders are usually ready in about two hours during opening hours, 9am to 7pm Monday to Saturday.

Is the meat HMC certified?

All of it. Ikhlas is an HMC-certified outlet: chicken, lamb, mutton, beef, goat and turkey, cut to order at counter prices. The certificate is on the wall and the shop is on the HMC register.
