Shipping policy

We are a butcher's shop in Bradford, not a mail-order business. Everything is cut to order on the day, then either collected from our City Road counter or delivered chilled by our own driver within 7 miles. We do not post meat.

Click & Collect: free

  • Choose Click & Collect at checkout. There is no charge and no minimum order.
  • Orders are usually ready in about 2 hours. Orders placed after 6pm are ready first thing the next day we are open, from 9am.
  • We text or email you when it is ready. Collect from 26–28 City Road, Bradford BD8 8ER, Monday to Saturday 9am–7pm (closed Sunday).
  • Your order is cut, packed and labelled with your name and kept in the chiller until you arrive. Please collect the same day; if you cannot, let us know and we will hold it until the next day. Orders not collected within 24 hours without contact are treated as cancelled and cannot be refunded.
  • Bring your order number (on your confirmation email) or the name the order was placed in.

Local delivery: within 7 miles of the shop

  • Available to addresses within 7 miles of BD8 8ER. Checkout will only offer delivery if your address is in range. Not sure? Ring us before you order.
  • Free delivery, however large the order. Minimum order for delivery is £25 (no minimum for collection).
  • Delivered Monday to Saturday in two runs: 1pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Order by 12 for the afternoon run, by 5 for the evening run; later orders go out the next day. We do not deliver on Sundays.
  • If you have chosen a delivery date or time window at checkout we will do our best to keep to it, but it is not guaranteed. Your order confirmation and a message from the driver will tell you when it is on its way.
  • Delivered by our own driver, packed chilled and vacuum-sealed. It is not left with a courier and does not travel far.

Someone needs to be in

Fresh meat cannot be left on a doorstep, in a porch or with a neighbour unless you have told us in the order notes that this is acceptable, in which case it is at your own risk. If nobody answers, the driver will ring the number on the order. If we cannot reach you we will bring the order back to the shop and hold it chilled for you to collect that day or the next; we may charge for a second delivery attempt. Orders we cannot deliver and which are not collected cannot be refunded, because the meat was cut to your order.

When it arrives

Please check the order against your confirmation, then refrigerate it straight away (or freeze on arrival if you are not using it within the recommended time on the product page). If anything is missing, wrong or not as it should be, tell us within 24 hours. See our Returns & Refunds policy.

Outside 7 miles

We do not deliver or post outside our local area at present. Click & Collect is free, and large orders (whole lambs, Qurbani, Eid) are usually easier to collect anyway. If you are just outside the boundary, ring us; we can sometimes help.
