Click and collect, step by step
| Step | What you do | What happens at our end |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Choose your cuts on the Chicken, Beef, Lamb or Mutton counter pages | Every product the shop sells is there, at the till price |
| 2 | Pick the pack (500g / 1kg / 2kg) and the preparation skin on or off, on the bone or boneless, curry cut and how many pieces | It goes on the butcher’s ticket exactly as you chose it |
| 3 | Add a note on any line: "cut thin", "trim the fat", "needed by 5pm" | The note prints on the ticket the butcher works from |
| 4 | At checkout choose Collect: 26–28 City Road | No delivery charge. Collection is free |
| 5 | Pay by card online | The order lands at the counter; the butcher cuts it |
| 6 | We mark it ready and you get an email | Come to the counter, give the name on the order, take it home |
How long does click and collect take?
Most orders placed before midday are ready the same afternoon. Anything ordered in the evening is cut the next morning. If you need it by a particular time you are picking up on the way to a dawat, or the shop is on your route home from work write the time in the order note and we work to it. Whole and half animals need two days’ notice so we can have the animal in.
Where to collect and where to park
26–28 City Road, Bradford BD8 8ER, the black shop with the white sign, on the corner. There is parking directly outside the shop and a ramp with a handrail up to the automatic door, so a pushchair or a trolley is no trouble. Come to the counter, give the name on the order, and it is handed over from the chiller behind the counter.
Why click and collect rather than delivery?
Three reasons customers give us. Both are free, but collection has no minimum order where delivery needs £25. Collection is usually ready in about 2 hours, where delivery goes on the next run. And you see the meat before you leave: if you asked for the chops cut thick and want to check, the butcher is standing there. Delivery is there if you cannot get to City Road, but for most of Bradford collection is the quicker of the two.
What you can click and collect
